Darker were the days coming and gone,
Cold was the sun shining bright,
hanging in the void of a clear blue night
Tainted and foul was the smell of air,
Earth laid barren soaked in despair,
Everyone gave tainted smiles,
Shadows of gloom stretched for miles
I looked upon the crimson sea,
beneath those tides I saw me,
drowning below till the pain was gone,
Away from the path I tread upon
Cold was the sun shining bright,
hanging in the void of a clear blue night
Tainted and foul was the smell of air,
Earth laid barren soaked in despair,
Everyone gave tainted smiles,
Shadows of gloom stretched for miles
I looked upon the crimson sea,
beneath those tides I saw me,
drowning below till the pain was gone,
Away from the path I tread upon

I am sorry for being so late in posting this reply. The poem gave me an eerie feeling, like something is not what it appears to be, like my happiness is actually the cause of my pain or the vice versa. There was a feeling which I cannot define but I felt good. Don't know why. I was also reminded of Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams."
Actually I thought the video of that song could be just perfect for this small but masterpiece of urs.
Keep writing as we shall be getting to know more about this talented yet underrated(not by me), probably the chetan bhagat(or abhinav bakhla) of our college.
Cheerzzzzzzzzzz
hey!!!buddy...i told naah...that gay persons are very very creative.....no offense meant:)....see now i stand vindicated.....the poem's great....sorry....or shud i see that it's brilliant.....see it's useless to paint it with attributes when the creation is so much above all these meaningless adjectives....just keep on writing buddy....u surprise me everyday........
